    Budget periods

Budgets will typically follow the Periods of the financial year. It is important to base a budget period on existing periods to follow a budget with actual values.

Periods can also be grouped together to create, for example, quarterly or bi-annual budgets.

Independent budgeting periods can also be created that don't follow an actual period. These can be useful for special periods, contingency planning or for adding alternative time dimensions.

    Configuration

Periods can be configured in several ways:

    Range selecting

Using the Select button to manually pick periods from the financial year.

    Wizard

Using the Wizard to automatically pick a range of periods.

The wizard also allows automatic grouping of periods for quick creation of quarterly periods.
